Eugene von Mosch, 66, died of cancer on Saturday, January 10, 2015 at Solvay Hospice House in Duluth, Minnesota.
He was born November 15, 1948 in Redwood Falls MN to Curt and Margaret (Corcoran) von Mosch. He graduated from Redwood Falls High School in 1966, and enlisted in the Army directly after. He served for 3 years, and was stationed in Vietnam as an air traffic controller.
Two weeks after returning from Vietnam, Gene met the love of his life, Judith Rengel. They graduated from the University of Minnesota, and were married September 3, 1977. Together they raised their three children in Duluth.
Gene spent more than 30 years as a financial planner, most of that time, working side by side with his wife, Jude. He was proud to work for Symphonic Financial Advisors, a company that reflected his strong integrity. He loved working with his clients, and was committed to their financial security.
Gene was a wonderful storyteller with a great sense of humor, which helped him, his family and his caregivers during his many medical adventures.
Gene was preceded in death by his father and mother; and two infant brothers. He is survived by wife Judith Rengel von Mosch; children Sara (Andrew) Drenner, Bloomington MN; Kristina (Michael) Conners, Richfield MN, and Matthew, Duluth; brother Larry (Pat) von Mosch, Cedar MN; sister Kathleen (Gary) Meyers, Redwood Falls MN; many nieces and nephews; and his grateful clients.
Visitation will be Friday, January 30, 2015 from 5-7pm in the Dougherty Funeral Home. Visitation will continue Saturday from 1pm to the 2pm Memorial Service at Pilgrim Congregational Church, 2310 E. 4th St, Duluth MN. Private burial to be held at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
