Evelyn Payette

Evelyn Rose Payette of Duluth passed away peacefully on Saturday October 12, 2019, in her home at the age of 101.  Evelyn was born in Duluth on July 10, 1918 to John and Hilda Anunti.  She graduated from Duluth Central High School and attended the Duluth State Teachers College.  Evelyn married Clarence Payette on February 7, 1942 and raised to sons James and Gerald.  After raising her children, she was employed by the Patty Cake Shop and the Baking wizard.  Evelyn was a longtime member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church.  Evelyn’s family extends a special thanks to Carrie, Carlene and Kristina at Crossroads for their wonderful care of Evelyn.

Evelyn is survived by her sons Jim (Patsy) Payette and Jerry (Sharon Buchanan) Payette, grandson James, great-grandson Caleb, and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service will be held at 1PM on Wednesday October 16, 2019 in the Chapel at Forest Hill Cemetery.  2516 Woodland Ave., Duluth, MN 55803.  Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to the donor’s favorite charity in Evelyn’s name.  Arrangements by Dougherty Funeral Home, 600 E. 2nd St., Duluth, MN 55805.  218-727-3555.
