Evelyn B. Storest, 93, of Duluth, passed away on Tuesday, April 17, 2012 at St. Lukes Hospital. Evelyn Bernice Olson was born March 19, 1919 near St. James, Minn., the daughter of John and Inga (Brevig) Olson. She grew up on the family farm and attended the University of Minnesota School of Agriculture in St. Paul. She married Frederick G. Storest in August of 1949 in Minneapolis. In March of 1950, he was transferred to Duluth where the family made their home. In Duluth, she worked as a librarian assistant at Ordean Junior High and for many years was in charge of the laundry at Lakeshore Lutheran Home. Evelyn was a member of Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, Lakeside Chapter O.E.S. No. 225, Past Matron, Past Grand Ruth Grand Chapter of Minnesota, Lotus Temple No. 7 Daughters of the Nile, Sons of Norway and was a volunteer at Lakeshore Lutheran Home. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Frederick G. Storest; sister Lorraine Woock, and brother Raymond L. Olson. Evelyn is survived by her daughter, Marilee Storest of Duluth; step-daughter, Marion Wicklund of Superior; brother-in-law, Burton Woock of Hackensack, Minn.; seven step-grandchildren and 13 step-great-grandchildren. VISITATION: 10 a.m Saturday, April 21, 2012 until the 11 a.m. Memorial Service in Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, 1325 North 45th Avenue East, Duluth.
