Frances Kachinske

Frances Ann Kachinske, 87, of Hermantown, died Saturday, January 14, 2017 at home. She was born August 21, 1929 in Sturgeon Lake, Minnesota to Johanna (Brezinski) and William Meger. Frances married Edward Stanley Kachinske on January 22, 1949. She was a homemaker and had worked as a nurse’s aide at Viewcrest Health Center. She was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church.
Frances was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter Barbara Norell; her grandson Derek Bloch; brothers Andy, Chester, Raymond, Victor, Walter, Joseph, John; and her sisters Edna and Angeline.
Frances is survived by her husband of 68 years, Edward; her sons Tim (Judith), Jeff (Julie), Kevin (Debra), and Duane (Carolyn); her grandchildren: Edward, Adam, Brian, Amy, Kari, Kelly, Kyle, Daniel, Dustin, Marissa, Michelle, MacKenzie, Heidi and Holly; 12 great-grandchildren; and her brother Martin (Florence) Meger.
A Gathering of Family and Friends: 10 AM Tuesday, January 17, 2017 until the 11 AM Mass of Christian Burial at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, 2410 Morris Thomas Rd. Burial will be at Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis. Arrangements by Dougherty Funeral Home, Duluth, 727-3555.
