Frances Knobloch

Frances Ann Knobloch, 91, of Duluth, died on Tuesday November 24, 2020 at Ecumen Lakeshore.  She was born on May 10, 1929 in Bessemer, MI to John and Alice (Connelly) Knobloch.  She was a member of St. Michael’s Church.  A Duluth resident since 1945, Frances was a graduate of Stanbrook Hall and UMD, with post-graduate work at the Universities of Michigan, Minnesota, and Lyon, France.  Frances taught French at Duluth Central High School for over thirty years, retiring in 1986.  She then enjoyed camping in her motorhome in Grand Marais, her volunteer job at St. Michael’s Church office, and her book club.  She was also a member of the former Beta Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma and the Duluth Area Retired Educators Association.

She is survived by several distant cousins and many wonderful friends, especially Diane and Larry Tureson.

Visitation will be held on Thursday December 10, 2020 from 9:00AM until the 10:00AM Mass of Christian Burial in St. Michael’s Church.  Rev. Father Bill Fider will officiate.   4901 E.
