Gary Siverson,74, of Duluth, MN, died on September 23, 2022. Gary was born on January 14, 1948, in Minneapolis, MN. He graduated from Robbinsdale High School and attended Dunwoody Trade School for Plumbing and Heating. Gary was briefly in the Naval Reserves. He married Linda Lee Burke on November 23, 1968, and they had two boys, Brad (1970), and Brent (1972). The family moved to Duluth where Gary started Quality Plumbing & Heating Company. Gary was on the Board of Directors of the Lake Superior Steelhead Association and was a past president of LSSA.
Gary loved hunting, especially deer hunting at his northern Minnesota hunting shack. He was passionate about fishing and loved sharing his sport with kids. He was a proud supporter of Duluth East hockey and football, where both of Gary’s and Lyn’s sons played. Gary was perpetually disappointed by the Vikings.
Gary is greatly missed by son, Brent; mother, Clio Siverson, Minneapolis; sister, Gail Swanson (Dave), Rockford, MN; sisters-in-Law, Deb Zoltai (Pete), Newburyport, MA, and Mary Cis, Dayton, MN; and brother-in-law, Bruce Burke (Linda), of Dayton, MN; as well as many nieces, nephews, aunts, cousins, and friends. Gary was preceded in death by wife, Lyn (2021); son, Bradley (1992); brother, Bob (1993); father, Robert (2008); and many others.
A celebration of Gary’s life will be held on Saturday, November 19, 2022, from 1 to 4 PM, at Ridgeview Country Club in Duluth, MN.
