gloria maras

Gloria "Anastasia" Maras, age 78, of Duluth, passed away on Wednesday, September 26, 2012 at Franciscan Health Center, Duluth.

Gloria Theros was born February 18, 1934 in Huron, South Dakota, the daughter of Mike and Theresa (Roukouniottes) Theros. The family moved to Duluth in 1937. She graduated from Duluth Central High School and attended Business College. Gloria married Andy Maras on June 11, 1961. She worked in the Admitting Office at St. Luke's Hospital for two years and then was a book keeper at the family restaurant, Jolly Fisher.

Gloria was a member of Twelve Holy Apostles Greek Orthodox Church, Daughters of Penelope, and the Greek Womens Philoptochos. She loved music and was the church organist.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and husband Andrew.

Gloria is survived by her children, Penny (Rocky) Olson, and Chris (Susan) Maras, grandchildren, Tess, Justin, Ericka, Nick, and Ben, great-grandchildren, Brayden and Braeley, sister, Sophia Pappas, and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
