Gloria Nylund

Gloria Mae Nylund, age 90, of Duluth, MN, passed away peacefully on November 8, 2015 at Keystone Bluffs.
Gloria was born May 9, 1925 to Victor & Bertha Sundberg.

Gloria met her husband Clarence at Western Electric and they owned a side-business called Warning Lites for many years. Gloria also worked as a cook at Bayview Elementary School. While her children were growing up. She enjoyed gardening, crocheting afghans and making patchwork quilts for her family. Gloria always had a smile on her face and a positive attitude regardless of how she felt health wise and she will be greatly missed by her family, friends and acquaintances alike.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years Clarence "Swede" Nylund, Sr., her sisters Nancy Palda, Marlene Skadberg, and brother Robert "Bob" Sundberg.
Gloria is survived by, sons Clarence (Suzie) Nylund Jr., Richard (Connie) Nylund and daughter Debra (John) Portesan, 8 grandchildren, Chris, Traci, Sara, Jennifer, Stacy, Michael, Danny and Kelly 14 great-grandchildren, her brother, Donald (Marge) Sundberg and her nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will take place at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 701 Third Ave., Proctor, MN 55 810 on Monday, November 16, 2015 at 12:00 PM. Viewing will be from 11:00 to 12:00. Burial will be at Wright Public Cemetery, Wright, MN. Arrangements by Dougherty Funeral Home, 600 E 2nd St. Duluth, (218) 727-3555.
