Gregg Alan Koivisto, 50 of Duluth passed away on Wednesday February 10, 2016 in Essentia Health, St. Mary's Medical Center. He was born in Duluth on June 7, 1965 to Gerald and Mary Koivisto. Gregg graduated from Proctor High School Class of 1983. He had worked as Regional Sales Manager at Walsh Building Products. Gregg was an avid bowler and golfer, he loved watching baseball and football and was a devote Pittsburgh Steeler's fan, and deer hunter.
Gregg was preceded in death by his father Gerald "Jerry", maternal grandparents Don and Bernice Nordstrom, paternal grandparents William and Adeline Koivisto, and step-brother Jason Lyons
Gregg is survived by his mother Mary (Paul) Koivisto-Lyons, sister Lynn (Jerry) Moen, brother Scott (Sherri) Koivisto, sister, Paula (Dick) Langlee, nieces Christine, Cassie, Ashley and Nicole, great-nephew Kaden, significant other Carrie Johnson and her family, several aunts, uncles, cousins, and close friends.
Visitation will be held on Sunday February 14, 2016 from 3PM to 5PM in Dougherty Funeral Home, 600 E. Second St., Duluth 55805, and will continue on Monday February 15, 2016 from 1PM until the 2PM Memorial Service in Trinity Lutheran Church. 1108 E. 8th Street, Duluth, MN 55805.
