Gregg Sjelin

Gregg Michael Sjelin, 55, of Duluth, passed away on Sunday, June 24, 2018.

At Essentia Health, St. Mary's Hospital, in Duluth. He was born in Duluth on February 15, 1963, to Donald and Maxine (Nelson) Sjelin. He worked many years for his father as a mason.

He found great joy when he was racing his pigeons. He was a member of the American racing pigeon union and the Tri-State racers.

He was preceded in death by his mother (Maxine) in February 2018, and his niece, Lindsay Miketin.

He is survived by his father, Donald Sjelin of Duluth; children, James (Kylie) Sjelin of Iron River, Wl, and his daughter, Jennifer Sjelin of Hayward Wl; girlfriend of many years, Jeraldine "Jeri" Gallant of Duluth, her children, Peter Gallant of Duluth, Jesse Gallant of Proctor, and Kryci Gallant of Superior, WI, And their 7 grandchildren, Ryan, Joshua, Alex, Caine, Maison.

Natalie and Lexi. Brother Mark (Gail) Sjelin of Duluth. Sisters, Beth (Tim) Brock of Winter Park, FL Carol Brigan of Duluth. Jill (Anton) Miketin of Esko. Also, many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, July 6th, 2018 at Dougherty Funeral Home. Visitations will be at 10AM until 11AM service.
