Hannah Njeri Chege, 68, of Duluth passed away on Monday, Feb. 13, 2012 at her home. Hannah Wanjema was born Sept. 6, 1943 in Kijabe, Kenya the daughter of Stanley and Miriam (Wambui) Wanjema. She grew up in Kenya and received secretarial training. She married Joshua Chege Kahihia on Aug. 5, 1967. She became a missionary for the First Baptist Church of Kenya and later moved to Duluth. Hannah was a member of Prince of Peace Fellowship Church. She enjoyed singing, gardening, knitting, exercising, baking and cooking. She will be missed by her family and friends. She is survived by her husband, Joshua; daughters, Ellen Chege, Miriam Chege, Lillian Chege, Eunice Chege, and Ruth Chege-Mberia; sons-in-law, Conor Burgess and Antony Mberia; and grandchildren, Andrew Chege, Olivia Burgess, and Alexander Mberia. Hannah, you have fought a good fight, you have kept the faith, you have won the race. In God you rest; in our lives you live forever. Amen. VISITATION: 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 18, 2012 until the 12:15 p.m. funeral service in Prince of Peace Fellowship Church, 1830 East First Street, Duluth. Burial will take place in Kijabe, Kenya.
