Harald H. Fegraues, 81, of Duluth, Passed away quietly with family and friends by his side on September 25, 2016.
Harald was born at home in Duluth, on January 3, 1935, to Harald and Gabrielle Fegraues. He joined the US Air Force in 1952 and was stationed in Peterborough, England, Molesworth Air Force Base where he met the love of his life Doreen, and were married in England in 1955. After, they took a boat back to the US, where they started a family in Duluth. He worked as a telephone repair man for Northwestern Bell, and then worked as a maintenance technician for the DECC. He also volunteered for the Lakewood Volunteer Fire Department.
Harald enjoyed spending time working in his garden, his yard was his pride and joy. He liked to play the slot machines (which he rarely won anything) he loved helping people with projects and building things. One of his biggest enjoyments was teaching people how to use the Fire Department’s equipment.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Kevin John; great-granddaughter, Ariana; and sisters, Martha and Karin.
Harald is survived by loving wife, Doreen; son, Steve; grandchildren, Matthew (Alyshia), Brandon (Isabelle), and Cody (Cassidy); 5 great-grandchildren; special friends, Cindy Hedlund, Carol Norling, Larry Smith, Earl Erickson, and Ron Dahl.
The family would like to thank everyone for their care and support.
Funeral service will be 1PM, Sunday, October 2, 2016, with visitation one-hour prior, in the First United Methodist Church 230 E Skyline Pkwy, Duluth, MN 55811
