Harriet Ann LaTour, 91, of Duluth, passed away on Wednesday September 27, 2017 at Chris Jensen Health & Rehabilitation Center. She was born in Duluth on September 22, 1926 to John and Emma Anderson. Harriet and her husband Edward had owned and operated LaTour Sanitation and Oswald’s Bar & Grill. She was a member of St. John’s Catholic Church and was a guild member, the YMCA, and was an election judge. Harriet enjoyed swimming, traveling, gardening, reading, and making ceramics.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Edward, son Timothy, brothers John and Richard Anderson, and a brother-in-law Jim Wheeler.
She is survived by her children Jeffrey LaTour, Dea LaTour-Johnson, Thomas LaTour, and Nancy (Dudley) LaTour-Edmondson, grandsons Jackson and Taylor Johnson, sisters Gloria Wheeler, Shirley (Jim) Davies, and Marilyn (Jim) Taylor, and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday October 3, 2017 from 5PM to 7PM with a 6:30PM Wake Prayers in Dougherty Funeral Home, 600 E. 2nd St. Duluth, MN 55805, and will continue Wednesday October 4, 2017 from 10AM until the 11AM Mass of Christian Burial in St. John’s Catholic Church. 1 West Chisholm St. Duluth, MN 55803.
