Harriet Ann Miller

Harriet Ann Miller, 90 of Duluth, passed away peacefully with family by her side, Thursday, June 27, 2024. Harriet was born in Hatton, ND, on July 16, 1933, to Hans and Anna Gilberts Grimson.

 Harriet was a farm girl from North Dakota who graduated from Hatton High School in 1951. After graduating she attended Wahpeton North Dakota State College of Science. She then moved to Duluth to start working and met Ken on a blind date. He became the love of her life for the next 70 years. She was an active member of Our Savior Lutheran Church, the women’s group at church, and Irving Hockey. She enjoyed camping, baking, the Boundary Waters, playing Scrabble, country music, Dolly Parton, drinking wine around the campfire, Avid UMD Bulldog Hockey fan; and most importantly spending time with her family.

 Harriet was preceded in death by her parents; stepmother, Emma Brenna Grimson; sons, Danny Lee Miller, and Jeffery Lynn Miller; and sister, Gertrude Mae Grimson.

 She is survived by, loving husband of 68 years, Kenneth Miller; children, David (Judy) Miller, and Kathy (Kevin) Miller; daughters-in-laws, Dawn Miller and Lorrie Miller; 11 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren; siblings, Gordon Grimson, Eunice Grimson, Rose Grimson, and Renae Grimson; and numerous nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

 The family would like to thank St Luke's Hospice, especially Keith and Michelle, and the caring staff at Edgewood Vista.

The memorial service will be 11AM, Thursday, July 18, 2024, with visitation one hour prior at Our Savior's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 4831 Grand Ave, Duluth, MN 55807.
