Helen Cashin

Helen Cashin, 98, a resident of St. Ann's in Duluth, died Tuesday, September 18, 2012 in the Solvay Hospice House with her family by her side. She was born on May 30, 1914 in Duluth to Hjalmer and Hilda Wilajnen.
Helen graduated from Central High School in 1934 and worked at Glass Block Tea Room and retired from the former American Linen.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Elwood in 1980; daughter, Diane in 1977; brothers, Eugene and Walter and her sister, Aunie.
Helen is survived by her daughter, Kathleen Pajari of Duluth; her grandsons, Les Pajari, Larry Pajari, Michael Lillo and Scott Lillo; great grandchildren, Tawna Lillo, Erik and Abby Pajari; sisters, Miriam Tollefsons of California and Elma Hill of Roseville, MN.
A special thank you to St. Ann's Residence and Dr. Paul; Sanford for the special care they gave to Helen in her final years.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, Sept. 24, 2012 in the Dougherty Funeral Home Chapel. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service in the chapel.
Interment will be in Park Hill Cemetery.
