Helmi Mackey

Helmi Virginia Mackey, 89, of Duluth, died Monday July 31, 2017 in United Hospital in St. Paul, MN. She was born in Herbster, WI on January 13, 1928. She had worked at Wahl’s Department Store and at the DECC in Food Service. Helmi was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, and the 55 Club. She was a great housekeeper, she loved to entertain, and was a dedicated caregiver.
She was preceded in death by her husband Thomas, son Keith, and daughter Linda Poulin.
She is survived by daughters Debra Poulin and Karen Neurath, grandchildren Jason, Jonathan, and Kim Patrick Neurath, Brian and Matthew Poulin, great-granddaughter Samantha Neurath, and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday August 3, 2017 from 5PM to 7PM with a 6:30PM Rosary Recitation in Dougherty Funeral Home. 600 E. 2nd St. Duluth, MN 55805. Visitation will continue Friday from 10AM until the 11AM Funeral Service in Trinity Lutheran Church. 1108 E. 8th Street, Duluth, MN 55805. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
