James Perrault

James A. "Jim" Perrault Sr., 83, passed into Jesus arms while surrounded by his loving family and caring staff of the Franciscan Health Center on Saturday October 17, 2015. He was born in Duluth on January 1, 1932 to Theodore and Mary Perrault, and lived his first nine years in Remer, MN. Jim attended Duluth Cathedral and St. Jean the Baptist High School. He married RoseMary Lewandowicz in Duluth on Feb. 23, 1952. Jim had worked in retail sales until his retirement. He was past president of the Cathedral High School PTA, Serra Club member. And one of the original founders of the Duluth Boy's Club, he was an amateur, pro, trainer, promoter, referee, and judge in the boxing profession. Jim was the upper Midwest Golden Gloves Champion in 1950, and was a professional Boxer for 6 years while living in the St. Paul area. He was involved in numerous other organizations. He enjoyed traveling, dancing, golfing, fishing, shooting pool, playing cards, and most importantly time spent with his family.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Robert, Donald, Harold, and Raymond, granddaughter Becky Conner, and great-grandchildren Gabriel de Obaldia and Nevaeh Loiselle.

Jim is survived by his wife of 63 years RoseMary, children Mary (Steve) Koszarak, Anne (Charles) Rapp, James (Dottie) Jr., Michelle (Randy) Auer, David (Kim), Timothy, Laurie (Steve) Gatlin, John (Brenda), Jane (Kerry) Garner, 25 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, sister-in-law Colleen Perrault and many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the staff at the Franciscan Health Center for their kind and compassionate care.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday October 20, 2015 from 10Am until the 11Am Mass of Christian Burial in Holy Family Catholic Church. 2430 West 3rd Street. Burial will be in Polish Catholic Cemetery.
