James Thibault, III

James Wilferd Thibault, III, 37, of Duluth, died Sunday, November 20, 2016 in Duluth.  A lifelong Duluth resident, he was born April 3, 1979 to Dorothy Louise Willett and James W. Thibault, Jr.  He worked as an auto mechanic and in construction.  James liked working with his hands and was always helping people.  He liked camping, hunting, fishing and basically doing anything outside.  He enjoyed hanging with his nieces and nephews. James had an amazing ability of putting a smile on people’s faces.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents James W. Thibault, Sr. and Sylvia Morrison; his maternal grandparents Merlin Morrison, Sr. and Margaret Joan Saylor; and his brother-in-law Darren Cook, Sr.

James is survived by his son Marcus Thibault and Marcus’ mother Frances Saukko; his father James W. (Paula) Thibault, Jr. of Duluth; his mother Dorothy Willet of Minneapolis; his sisters Jessica (Perry) Thibault, Theresa (Eide) Urrutia, Jessica Urrutia, Amanda DeFoe, Nancy (James Joseph) DeFoe and Ella (Aaron) Decorah; 3 step-daughters Felicia Martin, Jessica Martin and Jocelyn Martin; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Private family services were held.  A memorial service will be held at a later date to be announced.
