James "Jimbo" M. Watson, 62, of Anderson Rd. died Tuesday, June 25, 2013 at Essentia St. Mary's with his family by his side. Jimbo was born December 4, 1950 in Mpls to Gene and Rosemary Watson. He graduated from Osseo High School and then attended St. Cloud State, where he was a national champion in gymnastics. He served in Germany during the Vietnam War. Jimbo was a computer tech, working for G.E. and Smith Microtech in Mpls. He moved to Duluth in May of 2012 to be closer to his grandchildren and the pride of his life, Aidan and Kaitryn.
Jimbo loved the outdoors, hunting, golf, gardening, fishing and he enjoyed teaching people to fish.
He was preceded in death by his father, Gene and his nephew, Bryan Thomas.
Jimbo is survived by his daughter, Kelly (Jim) Madigan of Duluth and his son, Tony (Ruchi) Watson of Salt Lake City, UT; grandchildren, Aidan and Kaitryn; his mother, Rosemary (Claris) Greenland of Detroit Lakes, MN; siblings, Larry Watson, Alan Watson, Diane (Paul) Thomas and Dan (Beth) Watson and his nephew, Cole Watson.
