Jane Hawes

Jane Elizabeth Hawes, age 63, of Duluth, and formerly of Richfield, MN. died Wednesday, February 17, 2021 at Essentia Health Miller-Dwan Hospital.  She was born April 14, 1957 in Saint Paul, MN. to Maurice and Mary-Jane (McCord) Hawes.  Jane graduated from Richfield High School, later becoming a Paralegal Specialist before working in banking and real-estate finance; aiding people in difficult times to keep their homes. She was a loving member of St. Nicholas Episcopal Church in Richfield.  She loved her cats, reading, and music, but most of all laughter and conversation with her sons, and being a grandma.

Jane was preceded in death by her parents.  She is survived by her sons:  Joshua (Anna) Stenzel of Stafford, VA., Nathan Stenzel of Superior, WI., and Jacob (Brittainy) Hawes of Farmington, MN.; her granddaughter Ariana Mae Hawes of Farmington; and her sister Cheri Hawes of Satellite Beach, FL.  Private Memorial Services will be held Saturday, February 20th at St. Andrew by the Lake Episcopal Church, 2802 Minnesota Avenue, Duluth.  Inurnment will be at St. John in the Wilderness Cemetery, White Bear Lake, Minn.  Arrangements by Dougherty Funeral Home, Duluth, 218-727-3555.
