Jane Marie Danielson Carr

Jane Marie Danielson Carr, 76, of Duluth, Minnesota passed away on June 11, 2024 after a struggle with lung disease.  Jane was the oldest of five children born to Ernie and Crick Danielson.  She is preceded in death by her daughter Clarice Petersen and her parents.  She is survived by her husband Jim, daughter Madeline Petersen, stepchildren Will (Kim) Carr, Melissa (Ross) Keveles, and grandchildren Payton Horacek, Emilia Watt, Hudson and Emmett Carr.  Jane is also survived by siblings Joan (Bob) Anderson, Jack (Joy) Danielson, Jeff (Cathy) Danielson, Joey (Denise) Danielson and many nieces and nephews.  

Jane was a 1979 graduate of The College of Saint Scholastica with a nursing degree after which she became an RN.  She had an interesting and varied career working in editing and marketing prior to becoming a founder and principal of The Alaris Group in 2000.  As one of five women owners, Jane worked tirelessly on behalf of the employees and was so proud of the company she helped build.  

Jane was a voracious reader, loved gardening, was a fabulous cook and loved to travel.  She was a gracious hostess and always the life of the party.   Jane was a devoted mother and grandmother, loyal friend who was loved by all and will be missed dearly.  The family asks that donations be sent to The St. Luke’s Foundation or The Duluth Library Foundation in her name.  

Funeral Mass will be held on 11AM Wednesday June 19^th at St. Michaels Church, 4901 E. Superior Street, Duluth with visitation one hour prior.
