Janet Wieveg

Janet C. Wieveg, 81, of Duluth, passed away on Sunday December 20, 2015 in St. Luke's Hospital. She was born in Duluth to Arthur and Theresa Wieveg on Feb. 25, 1934. Janet graduated from Duluth Central High School. She had worked at St. Mary's Hospital, Northwestern Bell, and retired from MN Power. Janet was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church and the "Funeral Bunch", Minnesota Powers retirement club and AARP 2505. She was a longtime volunteer with St. Mary's Auxiliary and their gift shop. Janet loved watching Minnesota sports teams, and was an avid Bridge Player.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Geraldine (Jim) Norberg, Phyllis Feiro, and Mary Wieveg, brothers Donald Feiro, and George Feiro and his wife Amanda.
She is survived by many nieces and nephews and their families whom she dearly loved as well as many cousins, friends, and sister-in-law Dolores Feiro, and her special friend Shawne Sass.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday December 23, 2015 from 10AM until the 11AM Mass of Christian Burial in St. Michael's Catholic Church. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Arrangements by Dougherty Funeral Home. 600 E. 2nd Street, Duluth MN 55805. 218-727-3555.
