Jason Running

Jason Lee Running, 31 of Duluth, died unexpectedly Thursday, March 13, 2014; Jason was born in Duluth on May 3, 1982 to Laurie Mainella and Ronald Lee Running Jr.

Jason graduated from Proctor High School in 2000, and later from Fond Du Lac Tribal and Community College with a degree in law enforcement. He was a 911 Dispatcher for St. Louis County, and was also in the Army Reserves. Jason was also a member of the Police Reserves; he enjoyed playing darts on his dart league at the Copasetic Bar, skateboarding, snowboarding, hunting, fishing, he was very active with work, taking police ride alongs, and most importantly being a dad.

Jason was preceded in death by his son, Christian; grandmothers, Joanne Running, and Joan Mainella; and grandfather Frank Mainella.

He is survived by his children, Madison, Jarek, and Ashlyn; mother, Laurie Mainella; father, Ronald Lee Running Jr.; step-father Donald Sheldon; sisters, Lynn Running, Amanda Running, and Melissa Bradley; grandfather, Ronald Lee Running Sr.; step-sister, Ashanti Halli; step-brother, Brandon Sheldon; aunt, Kathy Mainella; Niece, Ava Bradley; nephews, Anthony and Ethan Rocklin; cousins, Jennifer and Kevin Maki; the mother of his children, Savannah Caspersen; and many other family and friends.

Visitation will be from 5-7 PM on Monday, March 17, 2014 at the Dougherty Funeral Home, visitation will continue on Tuesday from 10 AM until the start of the service beginning at 11 AM at the Vineyard Church 1533 W Arrowhead Rd Duluth MN 55803.
