Jean "Jennie Redsky" Morrison, 77, of Duluth, passed away Monday August 11, 2014 in Bayshore Health Care Center. She was born May 6, 1937 to Fred and Bessie Redsky, on the Red Gut Reservation, Ontario. Jean was a member of St. Mary Star of the Sea Catholic Church. She had worked at Goodwill for several years. Jean enjoyed going for walks, doing puzzles, blueberry pies, and going out for meals. The family wishes to give a special thanks to the staff at Bayshore for the kind and compassionate care Jean received.
Jean was preceded in death by her parents, husbands Norman McGinnis Sr. and Larry Dorman, sons Norman Jr., and Robert McGinnis, an infant daughter, daughter Margaret, brother Albert Morrison, and a sister Mary Perrault.
Jean is survived by her children Valerie (Alfred) Fisher, Lester (Jeanne) McGinnis, Leslie MacDonald, Patrick MacDonald, Myrna "Jane" Stoneypoint, Phyllis MacDonald, Sharon (Rick) Dorman-Lucia, numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday August 13, 2014 in Dougherty Funeral Home from 5PM to 7PM with a 6:30PM Rosary Recitation. Visitation will continue from 10AM until the 11AM Funeral Service on Thursday in the Funeral Home. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery.
