Jean Tedlund

Jean Adair Tedlund, 91, of Duluth passed away on Friday, November 15, 2019 at St. Luke’s Hospital in Duluth.

She was born August 20, 1928 to Ben and Agnes Olson in Minneapolis, MN. She grew up in Minneapolis, graduated high school from Bob Jones Academy and attended Bob Jones College. Upon returning to Minneapolis, she worked at Dayton’s and sang in the Dayton’s quartet. Music continued to be an important part of her life singing for many occasions.

Jean married Don in 1952 in a double wedding with her sister and Don’s brother. During their 65 years of marriage, they enjoyed spending time with their family, traveling, and making memories at the cabin they built together in Iron River, WI.

Jean lived her life for the Lord and was a very active member at Bethel Baptist Church and currently worshiped at Lakeview Covenant.

Jean is preceded in death by her parents, husband Don, grandson Kristopher Olson and sister Donna Tedlund. She is survived by children Tom (Robin) Tedlund, Julie (Tim) Olson and Dave (Shari) Tedlund; grandchildren Ben Olson, Kris (Ray) Erickson, Tyler Tedlund and Kasey Tedlund; great grandson Soren Erickson; brother-in-law William Tedlund; nieces Wendy Marty, Amy (Mark) Kersey and nephew Barry (Linnea) Tedlund.

Visitation will be held on Friday November 22, 2019 from 5PM to 7PM in Lakeview Covenant Church.  1001 Jean Duluth Road, Duluth, MN 55804, and will continue Saturday November 23, 2019 from 10AM until the 11AM Funeral Service in Lakeview Covenant Church.  Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.  Arrangements by Dougherty Funeral Home.  600 E. 2nd St. Duluth, MN 55805.  218-727-3555.
