Jeanne Perrella

Jeanne R. Perrella, 84, of Duluth, passed away, Thursday September 12, 2019 at BeeHive Home of Duluth, with her family by her side. Jeanne was born July 19, 1935 in Keewatin, MN to Stanley and Lillian D'Andrea. She graduated from Keewatin High School and went on to graduate from the College of St. Scholastica. Her movie star looks, kind heart and a passion to cook, reeled in her husband, Sammy Perrella, the love of her life September 1957.

Sam and Jeanne brought Sammy's Pizza to Duluth in 1956. They had five children and the restaurant was a family affair.

Jeanne was a master cook and loved to entertain. She was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother first and foremost, Jeanne loved her children and grandchildren and leaves behind nothing but beautiful memories.

She was member of the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Rosary, Duluth Curling Club, the BPO Elks and the 242 Yacht Club / Duluth Power Squadron.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Stanley and Lillian; brother Dennis D'Andrea and her husband Sam.

Jeanne is survived by her children, Sam III (Barb), Tim, Julie (Pat) Daly, Terry and Jodie Tester; grandchildren, Samantha, Joseph, Tony, Alex, Riley, Michael and Ty; Her sister, Jackie Radosevich; Loving extended family, Marguerite Perrella Acheson, Louise Perrella, Greg Perrella, Jeff Perrella and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Jeanne's family wishes to acknowledge the exceptional care and love provided by the BeeHive Home staff for the past four years.

All whom knew Jeanne, loved her. She will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts. Because the loving, daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and friend, that she was, Jeanne will be sorely missed, but greater than the sorrow from her death is the joy that she brought to all our lives.

Visitation: Sunday, October 13th from 3pm to 5 pm with Wake Prayers at 4:30pm at the Dougherty Funeral Home, 600 East 2nd St. Duluth and will continue, Monday, October 14th from 10am to the 11am Mass of Christian Burial at the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Rosary, 2801 E 4th St., Duluth, MN.
