Jeffery Hopponen

Jeffery Kent Hopponen, 50, of Duluth, died Wednesday April 4, 2012 in his home. He was born to Kenneth and Patricia (Nelson) Hopponen on Sept. 9, 1961 in Duluth. Jeffery graduated from Hermantown High School. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran and employed as an airline mechanic during this time period. Some of his hobbies included working with his hands, outdoor activities and socializing with close friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Patricia Hopponen and his sister Kim Hopponen. Survivors include his father, Kenneth Hopponen of Duluth; his sister, Jenine Hopponen (fianc?e Jerry Geil) of Baton Rouge, LA; his brother, Jody (fianc?e Helga Zodl) Hopponen of Vienna, Austria; and nieces and nephews. SERVICE: 1 p.m. Friday April 20, 2012 in the Dougherty Funeral Home Chapel. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral in the chapel. Interment will be in Park Hill Cemetery.
