Jeffrey James Johnson

Jeffrey James Johnson, 62, passed away February 25, 2024.  He was born May 29,1961, to James and Patricia Johnson in Hibbing, MN.

Jeff was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses on May 10, 1980. He served as an elder in the Meadowlands, MN, congregation and he loved helping others to learn about Jehovah God through the Bible.  He cared very much for those he studied the Bible with. After asking her if she would wash his socks (she said yes), he married the love of his life, Brenda, on January 23, 1983. 

Jeff is survived by his wife Brenda, children James (Kayli) and EmmaLea Johnson, one grandson, Liam, whom he loved so much and was happy to have spent time with. He is also survived by his Mother, Patricia, siblings Wesley (Carmen), Amy, Kari, Tom (Kim), Joe (Jaime).  Mother-in-law Marianna Milfaith and a sister and brother-in-law.  Preceded in death by his father James.

Jeff loved his children and tried to teach them the best he could how to develop the many skills he had learned. Jeff treasured his friendships, whether lifelong friends or newer friendships, and enjoyed keeping in touch with phone calls or having them over for coffee, a meal, a campfire, or all four.  Jeff did many jobs, such as, working in the woods, concrete, cleaning, sheet rock, welding and most recent “Mr. Fix It.”  He was an avid outdoors-man. He loved to always be busy, particularly with his hand’s on projects (and he had hundreds of them). Jeff loved to go fishing and hunting; he especially enjoyed camping trips to the BWCA where he could really relax. 

Memorial service will be held March 9, 2024, at 2 PM at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Hibbing, MN.
