Jeffrey Scherber

Jeffrey James Scherber, 54, of Proctor, passed away on Thursday, September 12, 2019, in Essentia Health, St. Mary’s Medical Center. He went home to be with the Lord surrounded by friends and family. He was born on January 20, 1965, in Minneapolis to James and Joanne Scherber. Jeff was a graduate of Melrose High School. He faced many challenges in his life and continued to press on. To say that Jeff was proud of his boys would be an understatement, they were his light and his greatest love. He was loyal to his friends and was always the life of the party. He would give anyone the shirt off his back even if it wasn’t his own. Jeff loved his “grand babies”. We rest easy knowing that he is riding in a Cadillac with his beloved dog Cooter-Ray blaring some tunes without a care in the world.

Jeff was preceded in death by his father James Scherber.

Jeff is survived by his sons Tony (Lindsey) Scherber, Drew (Sam) Scherber, Ian (Mary) Scherber, Isaac (Kylie Hommerding) Scherber, and Evan (Hannah Jacoby) Scherber, wife Paula Scherber, mother Joanne Scherber, grandchildren Olivia, Aili, Blake, and Brooks Scherber, siblings Michelle Alm, Greg Scherber, Colleen (Rocky) Woods, Patricia (Paul) Hamilton, many nieces and nephews, and his special friend Vickie Rudd.
