Jerome “Jerry” Paul Knaus Jr., 41 of Duluth died Saturday October 14, 2017 at St. Luke’s Hospice after suffering nearly a year, with his family by his side. Jerry was born June 6, 1976 in Duluth to Jerome and Karen Knaus Sr. He was a 1994 graduate from Duluth East. Jerry married his Junior High sweetheart, Suzie Krzewinski in Duluth on August 17th, 2002. Jerry worked as a transport driver for Best Oil Company in Cloquet.
He was a member of Lakeview Covenant Church; he spent his free time hunting and fishing with his family and kids; traveling to Alaska to visit family and of course more fishing; winters were spent skiing/snowboarding with his children; summers were spent at family camp(until this past summer) and being outside; he loved coaching his sons soccer teams over the years; and loved being able to watch his daughters many dance recitals and gymnastic meets, and he loved being on the Lakeview Softball Team.
He had many fond memories of his early years fresh out of high school, spent in Colorado, working and snowboarding till his heart’s content. He always dreamed of taking his family back to see his old stomping ground.
Jerry is survived by his wife, Suzie; children, Brenden, Alexis, Olivia, Ivy, Jaxsen and Hudsen; his parents, Jerome and Karen Knaus Sr.; his brother, Jason; maternal grandmother, Donna Juntunen and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
