Joan Cornell

Joan Marie Ceryance Cornell, 70, of Duluth, Minnesota, passed away on July 30, 2015.
Joan was born in Eveleth, MN on Jan 17, 1945 and attended Eveleth High School.
Joan was previously married to Donald Norlander in Eveleth, for twelve years, and subsequently to Rodney Cornell of Duluth for fourteen years.
Joan worked in the food service industry for thirty years and retired from Aftenro Care in Duluth. She enjoyed cooking, golfing, boating, movies, and spending time with her precious grandchildren Sydnie and Colton in Florida. As a tech savvy Grandma she loved playing internet games with family and friends.
Joan is survived by sons Scott Norlander, Duluth and Jay (Stacie) Cornell, Orlando FL, daughter Dawn Norlander (Mike Koosman),Kwajalein, Marshall Islands, grandchildren Sydnie and Colton Cornell, special friend Jon Koski, Cherry, siblings Sharon DeLeo, Barbara(Larry) Groves, Mark (Shelley) Ceryance, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Joan was preceded in death by father Frank, mother Grace and brother Barry Ceryance.
Visitation: 10:00 am Monday, August 10, 2015 until the 11:00 am celebration of Joan's life at Dougherty Funeral Home. A private burial will be held in Eveleth, MN. Arrangements by Dougherty funeral Home, 600 E. Second St., Duluth, 727-3555.
