Joan Hendrickson

Joan J. Hendrickson, 84, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 17, 2012. Joan Kathleen Jentoft was born Dec. 1, 1927, in Duluth the daughter of Oscar and Marguerite (Creighton) Jentoft. She was a life long resident of Park Point. She worked at Minnesota Mining, Litton Industries, and Franklin Creamery. She was a member of St. Pauls Episcopal Church and a current member of St. Andrews by the Lake Episcopal Church. Joan was a mother and grandmother figure to many in her life. Her passions were crafts, sewing, baking, and writing poetry. She was a caregiver to family members and neighbors throughout her lifetime. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband John Jack; sister Patricia, and brother Creighton. Joan is survived by her daughter Cynthia; son Gregory (Judy); granddaughter Andrea; great granddaughter Cheyanne; and several nieces and nephews, and friends. VISITATION: 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, March 20, 2012 in St. Andrews by the Lake Episcopal Church, 2802 Minnesota Avenue, Duluth and will continue at 9 a.m. Wednesday, March 21, 2012 until the 10 a.m. funeral service in the church.
