Joanne Mindestrom

Joanne R. Mindestrom, 85, of Knife River, passed away on Thursday June 16, 2016 in Chris Jensen Nursing Home. She was born in Duluth on May 31, 1931 to Raymond and Lillian Glockle. Joanne graduated from Duluth Central High School. She married Bernard Mindestrom on May 28, 1960. Joanne had been a member at Knife River Lutheran Church. She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, oil paintings, studying genealogy, and time spent playing on her IPad.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Bernard, sisters Bernice Medlin and Lovelle Paulsen.
She is survived by her children Charles Mindestrom of Duluth, Lorne Mindestrom of Knife River, Cheryl (Pierre) Oster of Lespignan, France, and Coral (Jim) Johnson of Chaska, grandchildren Jamie (A.J.) Steele of Minneapolis, Corey (Megan) Johnson of Chaska, Jerri (Jake) Hoeppner of Rochester, MN, and 8 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday June 21, 2016 from 10AM until the 11AM Funeral Service in Dougherty Funeral Home, 600 E. 2nd Street, Duluth, MN 55805. 218-727-3555. Burial will be in Sunrise Memorial Park.
