John William Almquist

John William Almquist, 71 passed away on Sunday November 5th, 2023 surrounded by family.

John was born to Harrison and Elaine Almquist on November 13, 1951 in Duluth, MN.

He attended East High School in Duluth, MN and graduated in 1969.

 

John was a partner in the A & P Siding and Remodeling business with Dennis Perrault for over 40 years. John was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing. He loved tinkering in the garage and spending time with his family. He enjoyed playing Texas hold ‘em with friends, grilling and was welcoming to everyone. John always had a wisecrack and a funny story to share. He was strong willed and determined, all the way to the end.

 

He is preceded in death by his parents, Harrison and Elaine Almquist; and brother, James. John is survived his wife, Andrea and by his brother, Bob (Reba) Almquist, and sister, Randi (Sunny) Almquist; children, Mike Almquist, Sarah Ina’amii, Baley Gagne, Jayna Almquist: grandchildren, Kylee Almquist, CJ Almquist, Mackenzie Majchrzak, Madison Majchrzak, Johnny Ray Gagne, Ayva Ladd, many nieces and nephews and his 4 legged best friend Lukey.

 

Visitation will be from noon until 1:00 pm, followed by a service at 1:00 pm on Saturday November 11, 2023 at Concordia Lutheran Church in Duluth, MN. Pastor Jeffery Davis will officiate.
