John M. Hogan, 33, of Minnetonka formerly of Duluth, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday December 24, 2016. He was born in Palmira, Colombia on May 21, 1983. He, along with his brothers, Luis and Diego were adopted and welcomed with love to the Hogan Family in Duluth, MN on April 17, 1988. Raised with four sisters and three brothers by loving parents, he experienced an adventurous and abundant childhood. Growing up on Lake Superior, John made many memories with friends and family at his favorite places; Coffee Lake, Madeline Island, and the shores of the beloved lake. He enjoyed everything outdoors; including biking, camping and swimming in the summer, playing and watching hockey in the winter and watching the boats come in and out of the harbor year-round. He had a great passion for music, dancing, gaming, ever-growing collections and his pets. His long walks and peaceful patience allowed him to discover and see beauty in all things. His greatest love was his daughters and the joy of becoming a father was one of the happiest days of his life. As a loving father, brother, son and friend his kindness and smile will live on in all who knew him.
John graduated from Duluth East High School in 2002, and attended LSC. He worked at Jubilee, Plaza Super One, Northland AFC for many years, and was currently employed by Ace Hardware in Minnetonka.
