John Lind

John Junior Lind, 59, of Hermantown, died peacefully surrounded by his loving family Saturday, March 29, 2014. John was born on January 4, 1955 to Junior and Arlene Lind in Ripon WI.

John attended, and later graduated from Ripon High School in 1973; he then went on to start his chosen career in construction, drilling, and blasting. John most recently worked for Falcon Drilling & Blasting from 1991-2011. John was a member of the Operating Engineers Local 139 for 36 years, a member of the Turkey Federation, Berlin Conservation Club, and Walleyes for Tomorrow. John was an avid outdoorsman, a big hunter, loved his cabin, and he also loved being a grandpa.

John was preceded in death by his father, Junior Lind.

He is survived by, his loving wife, Jan; children, Johnny Lind, and Jessica Stini; mother, Arlene; brothers, Dave (Beth) Lind, their two children, Justin and Erin, and Jerry (Julie) Lind, their children, Brett and Alyssa; Sisters, Gail (Joe) Schuldt, their children, Angela and Amanda, and Karen (Kevin) Stibb; grandson, Crew Stini; many other family and friends; and his three dogs, Bourbon, Kong, and Maggie

A very special thanks to the St. Luke's Hospital Staff; John was well taken care of, so thank you all.

Visitation will be 6:30 PM until the start of the service at 7:30 PM at the Dougherty Funeral Home
