John Magill

John Leysek Magill, 75, of Duluth, died, Saturday, April 14, 2012 in Essentia Health St. Mary's in Duluth. He was born on Nov. 16,1936 in Superior, Wis., to John and Ethel (Laysek) Magill. John graduated from East High School and has been a lifelong Lakeside resident. He was a member of St. Michaels Catholic Church. He was a collector of trains and a member of the Depot. He will be remembered for his great love of children and his very strong faith in God. He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant sister. John is survived by many caring friends, neighbors, his church community and his special cat, Taco. MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL: 8:45 a.m. Thursday, April 19, 2012 in St. Michaels Catholic Church. A visitation from 8:15 a.m. until the mass in the church. Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery. Arrangements by Dougherty Funeral Home, Duluth, MN.
