John Morgan

John Morgan, 69, of Meadowlands, formerly of NE Mpls, died Monday, September 30, 2013 at home surrounded by his family. John was born November 20, 1943 in Mpls to James and Teresa (Korogi) Morgan. He graduated from Vocational High School. He met and married Kathleen Bienias on June 13, 1964. He lived in NE Mpls while working as an Asbestos worker with Heat and Frost Insulators and Allied Workers Local 34. He was a member of St. Mary's Church in Meadowlands; he would always volunteer for any projects that needed to be done.
He enjoyed, fishing, hunting, gardening, playing competitive "Texas Holdem", but most of all, spending time with his grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, James and Donald.
John is survived by his wife, Kathleen; children, Joseph (Vicki), Mark, Christine (Chad) Hansen and David; grandchildren, Sam, Chelsea, Sharon, John, Seth and Melody; great grandson, Charlie; sister, Alice Geronsin and brother, Ralph (Jeannie) Morgan.
Visitation will be Thursday at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 1621 University Ave NE, Mpls from 5-7:30pm with Wake Prayers at 6pm. Visitation will continue Friday from 5-7pm with Rosary at 6pm at St. Mary's Church, Meadowlands, where visitation will continue Saturday from 10am to the 11am Mass of Christian Burial.
