John H Young

John H. Young age 72 of Duluth died on November 16, 2022. He was born on April 7, 1950 to parents, John & Katherine (nee; Nowak) Young. He is preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Mary O’Connell. John was born and raised in Duluth. He was a graduate of Cathedral High School and the University of Minnesota. John worked for the Great Lakes Fleet for 28 years; retiring as the Senior Labor Relations Manager in 2003. He enjoyed many years of hunting, trout fishing, and time spent at “The Shack” with his brothers, cousins, and nephews. John enjoyed many trips to the Caribbean with his wife, family, and friends.  He cherished time with his daughters and grandchildren and his loyal furry companions.

John is survived by his wife of 24 years, Cammie; daughters, Beth (Jeff) Ornell of Greenfield, Kathleen (Jeff) Brenna of Andover, Amy (Nate) Dolentz of Flagstaff, and their mother, Linda (Alan) Tucker of Coon Rapids; grandchildren, Madison, Hayden, Nola, Eli, and Hazel; brothers, Jeff Young of Fargo, and Robert (Laura) Young of Duluth; in-laws, Carol Johnson of Duluth, David T. & Debbie Johnson of Blaine, Matthew Johnson of New Hope; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, and friends. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
