Josephine J. LaBud, 90 of St. Ann's died Tuesday October 22, 2013 at St. Ann's, where Josephine was its longest resident. She was born March 18, 1923 in Gnesen Twp to Frank and Martha (Jaski) LaBud. Josephine worked as a housekeeper and at St. Mary's Coffee shop. She was a member of St. Joseph's Church in Gnesen and St. Mary Star of the Sea in Duluth. Josephine volunteered at St. Mary's and St. Ann's.
She was preceded in death by her parents and sibling, David and Alek LaBud and Florence, Catherine and Leona LaBud. Josephine is survived by many cousins and friends.
Visitation will be Saturday from 10am to the 11am Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary Star of the Sea Church, 325 E 3rd St. Duluth. Burial will be at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Gnesen. Memorials are preferred and may be directed to St. Ann's, 330 E 3rd St. Duluth or St. Mary Star of the Sea. Arrangements by Dougherty Funeral Home, (218) 727-3555.
