Joy Lewis

Joy L. Lewis, 71, a lifelong resident of Duluth passed away on Friday May 13, 2016 in St. Luke’s Hospital. She was born in Duluth on November 28, 1944 to Walter and Florence Lewis. Joy graduated from Duluth East High School Class of 1963. She had worked for North Shore Bank, St. Luke’s Hospital and had retired from HDC as a secretary. Joy was a member of Lakeside Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed making stained glass, knitting sewing, and took great pride in her passion for gardening. Joy loved animals, and was very devoted to her parents and their care.
Joy was preceded in death by her parents.
Joy is survived by her sisters Janet Lewis and Jean (Harlan) Johnson of Duluth, and Julie (Mike) Dresen of Wisconsin Rapids, nieces and nephews Kevin (Sue) and Greg Johnson, Amy Jo Pieren, Tracy (Tony) Glazewski , Wendy (Jamie) Jenkins, and Holly (Bob) Faith, great-nieces and nephews Niveen Wahba, Anna Beth Johnson, Marissa Jenkins, Jessica Johnson and Trevor, Bryce and Paige Faith, and her companions Lilly and Mr. Peepers.
