Joyce Mary Foster

Loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away on July 14, 2024 after a long battle with Alzheimer’s Dementia at the age of 88.

Joyce was mostly a life-long resident of Duluth, MN having lived approximately ten years in Minneapolis and Minot, ND from about 1961 to 1971. She received a full scholarship from the Diocese of Duluth to attend Stanbrook Hall, a private girl’s school located at the college of St. Scholastica in Duluth where she graduated in 1954. Joyce was the owner of Power Transmission, Inc and also worked at the Human Development Center in Duluth for 35 years.

Joyce is preceded in death by her parents, John “Jack” and Cecilia Tarnowski; her brother, Richard Tarnowski; and granddaughter, Shannon Foster.

Joyce is survived by her four children, Patricia Davis of Cody, WY, Steven Foster of Rochester, MI, Robert (Lynn) Foster and Dale Foster of Duluth, MN; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

A Burial will be held at 2:30pm on Monday, July 29, 2024 at Calvary Cemetery, 4820 Howard Gnesen Road, Duluth.
