Karen Helen Gosch, 72, of Meadowlands,
MN died, on Thursday, January 16, 2014 as the result of a house fire. She was born on July 9, 1941 to Edward and
Florence (Leeseberg) Gosch in Elmhurst, IL.
She lived in Kenosha, WI where
she worked as a registered nurse at Society's Assets, Hospice Alliance, Upjohn,
and St. Catherine's Hospital. She was
employed as an RN with approximately 50 years of working experience.
Karen volunteered for the
Pleasant Prairie EMT's in the late 1980's early 1990's and during that time
period she helped serve at the Shalom Center in Kenosha.
Karen married John Stoessel
on June 15, 2002 at Good Shepherd Church in Pleasant Prairie, WI. They made their home in Meadowlands, MN,
where she was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. She was also a member of the Proctor
Community Band, a volunteer with St. Luke's Hospice and active with her husband
in Civil War Reenactments 8th Wisconsin located in Eau Claire, WI.
She was employed as a
registered nurse for senior friends in the Meadowlands area and recently retired
in 2012.
She was preceded in death by
her parents.
Survivors include her
husband, John Stoessel of Meadowlands; her children, Caroline Moe and William
Moe both of Kenosha, WI; her granddaughter, Chloe; her sister, Linda (Dennis
Kruse) Gosch of Sarasota, FL and four step children.
A Gathering of Friends and
Family will be held from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, January 29, 2014 in the
Meadowlands Community Center. A Memorial
Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, January 30, 2014 at 11:00 a.m.
in St. Mary's Catholic Church in Meadowlands.
Interment will be at a later
date in St. Joseph's Cemetery in Elmer, MN.
