Karla Larson
June 22, 1947 — July 9, 2015
Karla K. (Hauser) Larson, 68, of Duluth, passed away peacefully with her family by her side in St. Luke's Hospital on Thursday July 9, 2015, after a courageous battle with Breast Cancer. She was born in Rhinelander, WI on June 22, 1947 to Carl and Caroline Hauser. Karla graduated from Rhinelander High School. She had worked at Bayshore in the Alzheimer's Wing, and at Lincoln Park Elementary School. The family wishes to extend a special Thank You to the nursing staff at St. Luke's, the Infusion Center, and to Dr. Basam Goueli, for the kind and compassionate care Karla received.
Karla was preceded in death by her parents and brothers Mike, Terry, and Tim Hauser.
Karla is survived by her children Debbie Scanlon of Duluth, Daun (Bill) Vukelich of Esko, and Scott (Tina) Larson of Marquette, MI, grandchildren Justin, Jesse, Matthew, Ava, Camden, and Tatum, companion Fred Osberg, brother Dennis (Jackie) Hauser of Rhinelander, the father of her children Ken Larson, and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday July 13, 2015 from 5PM to 7PM in Dougherty Funeral Home 600 E. 2nd Street, Duluth, MN 55805, and will continue on Tuesday July 14, 2015 from 10AM until the 11AM Funeral Service in the Funeral Home. Burial will be in Oneota Cemetery. 218-727-3555.
