Katherine Alexia Gaffke

Katherine “Kathy” Alexia Gaffke, age 45 of Duluth, passed away while being surrounded by her family on January 9, 2025. She was born in Bemidji, MN on August 20, 1979 to parents, Larry Goggleye and Teresa Nelson. Kathy’s life was her family. She adored her nieces and nephews and spending time at Powwows. Kathy was an artist at heart. Whether singing, baking or decorating she did it with style.

Kathy is preceded in death by an infant son, Ganden. She is survived by her parents, Larry Goggleye and Teresa Nelson (Gillespie); siblings, Winona Gillespie, Thomas (Dana) Nelson, Clarissa Nelson, Timothy Nelson, Celena (Salvadore) Nelson; many nieces and nephews, Winter, Shyanne, River, Karma, Sequoyah, Ta-Te, Paloma, Timmy Jr. Takaigah, Zayven, Aliyah, Aniya, David Jr and Daniel.

A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, January 14th at 2:00 p.m. with a visitation starting at 1:00 p.m. at Dougherty Funeral Home, 600 E Second Street, Duluth, MN 55805.
