Kathleen Blesener

Kathleen Mary Blesener, 89, of Duluth, passed away peacefully with her family by her side, May 25, 2017. She was born in Duluth, December 7, 1927 to John and Catherine Butalla.
She graduated from Duluth Central High School, and soon after, she met the love of her life, Donald “Jim” Blesener and they were married on May 29, 1948.
She enjoyed spending time at the cabin at Big Lake. During her time there, she prepared wonderful meals, enjoyed the camp fires, and most importantly having her family around.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Donald; daughter, Barbara Blesener; and infant son, Michael James.
Kathleen is survived by daughters, Gloria (Patrick) Phillips, Marjorie Hoder; grandchildren, Brandon Phillips, Hope Austin-Phillips, Bradley Hoder (Kacie Saice), and Ashley Hoder; great-grandsons, Elias, Felix, Sebastian; sister, Patricia (John) Walsh.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, 11AM, May 31, 2017 with visitation one-hour prior in St. Lawrence Church, 2410 Morris Thomas Rd, Duluth, MN 55811.
