Kathleen Kokal
October 31, 1936 — April 16, 2015
Kathleen Marie Kokal 78, of Duluth, passed away peacefully with her family by her side. Kathleen was born in Eveleth, October 31, 1936, to Louis and Marie La Voie.
Kathleen graduated from Eveleth High School, were she then went on to University of Minnesota Duluth where she graduated with a masters degree in education. She taught at Silver Bay and Two Harbors Schools, and retired from Lake County School District.
She was preceded in death by, husband, Donald; brother, Edward La Voie; sister, Alicia Joan; and her parents.
Kathleen is survived by, children, Kristopher (Lynn) Kokal, Lakeville MN, Mary Susan (Jeff) Washechek, Duluth MN, Jean (Scott) Ratajek, Duluth MN; grandchildren, Elisha, Annmari, Andrew Washechek, and Sara Kokal; sister Peggy, Maloney, Mary Lou Jensen; and numerous nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
Visitation will be Monday, April 20, 2015 from 5PM until the 6:30PM Rosary, at the Dougherty Funeral Home, visitation will continue Tuesday April 21, 2015 10AM until the 11AM Mass of Christian Burial, in St. Lawrence Catholic Church, 2410 Morris Thomas Rd, Duluth, MN 55811.
