Kathleen May Wegschied

Kathleen May Wegscheid, age 76, of Cotton passed away peacefully in her home on December 1, 2022. She was born in Minneapolis on March 26, 1946. Kathy enjoyed fishing, cooking and baking as well as the casino and playing dice games. In her later years she missed driving her car, mowing the lawn, helping in the woods, just walking outside getting ready for her yard sale.

She was preceded in death by her siblings Dennis Skrypek, Frankie Opheim and Elenor Jorgenson. Her parents Clarence and Rose Opheim.

She is survived by husband Ralph Wegscheid, Children Don Opheim (Callie), Tammy Koenig (Ray), Rachel Wegscheid, Roxy Sullivan (Rick), Anthony Bishop (Chandra), Gary Sargent (Bailey). Brothers Clarence, David, Randy and Sisters JoAnne and Cindy. Thirteen grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren. A very special Aunt Eleanor Siedlecki and many nieces, nephews, and many close friends.

A celebration of life will take place on January 21, 2022 from 1-4 PM at the Fridley American Legion 7365 Central Ave N.E. Fridley, MN 55432
