Kathryn P. O'Hara, 90, of Hermantown and recently of Keystone Bluffs, died Wednesday, July 30, 2014 at St. Luke's Hospice, Duluth, with her family by her side. Kathryn was born May 23, 1924 in Duluth to Oswald and Katheryn Ringsred. She grew up on Park Point which gave her a great love for Lake Superior and any body of water. She graduated from Duluth Central High School and worked as a dental assistant for many years for Dr. Levenson. She also enjoyed working at Carlson Florist, as she was an avid gardener. Kathryn was a member of St. Raphael's and a former member of Our Lady of Mercy, on Park Point and St. James Catholic Church. She volunteered for many years at the St. Vincent DePaul Society.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Oswald and Kathryn Ringsred; husband, Willard in 1995; siblings, Jean Godlewski, Gerard, Robert, Donald and William Ringsred.
Kathryn is survived by her children, Robert (Bunny) and Dennis (Debby) both of Duluth, Timothy (Roberta) of White Bear Lake, MN, Kathleen (Robert) Bureau of Carlton, MN, Jeanine (Lee) Viergutz of Temple, Texas and Colleen (Kevin) Fisher of Maple Grove, MN; 17 grandchildren and 32 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be Friday from 5-7pm with the Dougherty Funeral Home. Visitation will continue Saturday from 10am to the 11am Mass of Christian Burial at St. Raphael's Church, 5779 Seville Rd. Pike Lake. Interment at Sunrise Memorial Park. Arrangement by Dougherty Funeral Home, 600 E 2nd St. Duluth, MN (218) 727-3555.
