Kevin Scott Cosner , 69, of Duluth,MN passed away February 2,2021 in his residence. He was born on June 29,1951 to Dean and Carla Cosner. He graduated from Denfield High School. Kevin worked for JJ’s Garbage Service and Chesney Auto Salvage as a tow truck driver for over 30 years until his retirement. Kevin was a member of the Wednesday Nightriders car club. His first loves were cars, trucks and his family. You could find Huggy most weekends at a car show/swap meet or working on his unfinished projects in the garage, he believed the rattier the car the better. He always enjoyed playing pranks, you always had to check your purse for silverware or condiments when dining with Kevin. Kevin will always be remembered for being a self-less man, and his family’s needs came before his own.
He preceded in death by his wife Joelle, his parents and sister LaRae Colley.
He survived by his children; Kacy (Michael) Sipper, Amy (Aaron Vork) Cosner, Eryn Larsen, Kip Larsen, Dana (Casi Keuten) Larsen, Missy (Dan) Anderson, grandchildren; Alan, Sydney, Ellis “Tractor”, Nickels, Carter, Lindsay, Zaiden, and Gray, Siblings; JoDean Carlson, Roberta (Brad) Miller, Nephews, in-laws James and Valeria Weinert, brother in-law Christopher (Sandi) Weinert, the mother of his children Claudia Cosner, and dear friends Jim “Fred” Anderson, Wilsy and Mrs. Wilson, Wally and Jan Freitag, and the Chesney Family morning coffee crew.
Visitation will be held Tuesday February 9,2021 from 5PM-7PM at Dougherty Funeral Home. 600 E. 2nd St. Duluth, MN 55805. 218-727-3555. Burial will be at Noble Hill Cemetery. A memorial car cruise/open house to celebrate Huggy Bear’s life will be held on June 27, 2021 at Airport Auto 5294 Rice Lake Rd Duluth, MN 55802 details to follow.
